ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಧನೆಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಏಕಾಂತವಾದ ಕೋಣೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಬಾಗಲನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು ಅಂತರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿಯೊ ಇರುವ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಧನೆಮಾಡು; ಅಂತರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನದೆಯುವದನ್ನು ನೋಡುವ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ನಿನಗೆ ಫಲಕೊಡುವನು.  ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಧನೆಮಾಡುವಾಗ ಅಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನೇ ಸುಮ್ಮಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಹೇಳ ಬೇಡ; ಅವರು ಬಹಳ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನಾಡಿದರೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಧನೆಯನ್ನು ದೇವರು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆಂದು ನೆನಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಮತ್ತಾಯ  6:6,7

ನೀನು ಉಸಿರಿದ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರವು ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಚಿನ್ನಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ನನಗೆ ಅತಿಪ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ  ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳು ಬಂಗಾರಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಅಪರಂಜಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ನನಗೆ ಬಹುಪ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿವೆ. ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನೇಮಗಳು ನ್ಯಾಯವಾಗಿವೆ ಎಂದು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೇ; ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಿಧ್ಯಾಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಹಗೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳು 119 : 72, 127, 128.
